Welcome to Fountain Hills Middle School, home of the Falcons. At our school, you will find a safe, collaborative, and fun environment where all teachers share a common goal: to help our students meet and exceed the performance levels established by the Arizona Department of Education. Our school community is defined by collaborative teaching and learning, a rich technology base, a vibrant arts program, athletic and extracurricular opportunities, a safe learning environment, individual responsibility, and family/community involvement.

Our formal mission statement at FHMS is:

"Fountain Hills Middle School empowers students to learn, to care, and to succeed."

We strive to meet the demands of this mission statement through daily actions such as:

  • Classroom instruction founded on the Arizona State and Common Core Standards
  • A school-wide emphasis on authentic literacy—daily reading and writing
  • Lesson design consistent with the Effective Elements of Instruction
  • A wide variety of interventions and student support services
  • Conspicuous adult presence on campus at all times
  • Frequent safety drills and regular review of all safety plans
  • Interscholastic sports opportunities for all students in grades 6-8
  • Campus-based club opportunities such as: Art Club, Drama Club, National Junior Honor Society, Student Government, Junior Falcon Leadership, Photography Club, Jazz Band, and service clubs.

Parents, we encourage you to be involved in your child’s education. We provide a variety of tools to help you stay connected with us: Power School (online access to your child’s grades); Connect Ed mass phone calling and E-mail system; FHMS Facebook page; and this website. We especially encourage parents to join the Fountain Hills PTO.

Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail me if I can be of assistance.
